Jackson Civil War Muster Presented By Tripp's Auto & Collision

Cannon fire will shake the ground, musket smoke will fill the air, and cavalry will thunder across the fields as the Jackson Civil War Muster returns to Cascades Park on August 23 and 24, 2025. As the largest and longest-running Civil War living history event in the Midwest, the Muster transforms the park into a fully immersive 1860s experience. More than 500 living historians from across the country will fill the grounds, portraying soldiers, civilians, musicians, and tradespeople in highly detailed recreated encampments.

Visitors can witness the roar of battle during two large-scale reenactments, including this year’s featured engagement—the Battle of Tulifinny. This dramatic recreation brings to life the chaos, bravery, and strategy of one of the war’s lesser-known but fiercely contested battles.
