About the event
In the early 20th century Jackson was an automobile boom town! There were 24 companies that built cars in Jackson over the years. At one time, this industry was the largest employer in Jackson. At this free presentation, you’ll learn from historian Lloyd Ganton about this fascinating aspect of Jackson history. Following the presentation, a tour of the Museum, which includes 20 Jackson-made automobiles, will take place. We hope you can join us on June 12th, 2024 at 6pm!
Ye Ole Carriage Shop houses 20 Jackson-made autos. There are a few autos that it does not have; three of those are extinct and three cannot be purchased. Lloyd is considered the authority on historic Jackson automobiles. The museum offers many other rooms of memorabilia and collectibles. Lloyd has been collecting them for 45 years and will continue!
