During World War II, about 6,000 prisoners were housed in Prisoner of War (POW) camps throughout Michigan, including Waterloo Township, Jackson County. From 1944-45, about 200 German POWs were housed in "Camp Waterloo," which was a former Civilian Conservation Corps barracks. This booklet, based on local newspaper articles and photos, provides interesting information on the camp and includes maps and on-site photos.
